COCKTAIL OF THE DAY: VELVET CHERRY

(Original recipe by Zoë Stout- Moonshine Cocktail Emporium)

This is one my of own recipes combining cherry and almonds to create a sweet creamy milkshake-like cherry cocktail perfect for a Valentines lunch.

INGREDIENTS

- 25ml vanilla vodka

- 12.5ml cherry syrup

- 12.5ml Chambord

- 40ml milk

- 10ml almond syrup

(You can substitute milk and almond syrup for 50ml of almond milk)

- 12.5ml single cream

- 3 fresh cherries

- 3 maraschino cherries


METHOD

- Muddle cherries in bottom of shaker.

- Add all other ingredients and shake with ice.

- Double strain into chilled glass and garnish with 2 fresh or maraschino cherries on a sword with mint sprig top.
